Tulamben Beach is about 0.5 miles away, while the village of Tulamben is 2 miles from the resort. A few nearby places give you alternatives to the hotel restaurant: Cafe Gereh is about 0.5 miles away, with Warung Srimurti and Rika Restoran around 0.5 to 0.7 miles away. Amed Beach is about 5 miles away by road, and Tirta Gangga Water Palace is about 8 miles away.

That location suits a stay where the coast, rather than a town centre, sets the pace. You can spend the day between shore, pool and restaurant, then use a car for the wider sights. Ngurah Rai International Airport is about 42 miles away, with the drive taking roughly two and a half to three and a half hours.

The room choice is mainly about the view and how directly you want to reach the water rather than about collecting another category name. Sea-view accommodation suits a couple who wants the coast in sight from the balcony or terrace, while garden-view bungalows keep the outlook greener and more sheltered. Pool-view rooms make sense if you expect to use the resort's outdoor space between dives, and rooms with pool access put that water immediately outside selected accommodation.

If you are travelling as a family, the larger triple room gives you a more workable arrangement than trying to squeeze everyone into a standard double. The resort can also connect Standard Deluxe and Superior Deluxe rooms, giving a family a useful degree of separation without putting everyone on a different floor of the universe. Children of any age are welcome; children aged eight and over are charged as adults, and cots or extra beds can be requested.

Inside, air conditioning and a fan help you deal with Bali's heat, while a refrigerator is handy for keeping drinking water cold when you return tired and salty. The spa is particularly suited to the accumulated mechanics of diving: massage, foot baths, body scrubs, body wraps, facials and beauty treatments are available, alongside hand, head, neck, back, foot and full-body massages. There is also a Finnish sauna beside the sea and an ice bath. The spa operates from 11:00 to 21:00, but divers should allow a surface interval of at least four to five hours before using the sauna or ice bath.

Yoga classes offer a gentler option, while snorkelling, fishing and hiking provide ways to spend time outside the resort. Excursions can include cultural visits, trekking, rafting, coffee or chocolate tasting, rice terraces, ancient temples and royal palaces. Tirta Gangga Water Palace is about 8 miles away, giving you a clear half-day option when you fancy something other than another look at your fins.

Ngurah Rai International Airport is about 42 miles away, and the journey takes roughly two and a half to three and a half hours by car. Airport transfers are available as private journeys from or to the airport, or from elsewhere in Bali, using air-conditioned vehicles; arrange the service with the resort. Shuttle service is also available.

Check-in runs from 14:00 to 22:00, and check-out from 07:00 to 12:00. The minimum age for check-in is 18. Luggage storage, lockers and private check-in and check-out are available, which is useful when your flight and your room timetable refuse to cooperate. Daily housekeeping, laundry and ironing services cover the less glamorous but very real side of a warm-water diving trip.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the resort. Rooms use European CEE plugs and the electricity supply is 220V, so check your charging kit before leaving home rather than discovering the problem with a flat camera battery. The resort holds PADI Eco Centre status and is a Green Fins Gold Member. Its practical measures include removing plastic straws and plastic bottles, supplying stainless-steel drinking bottles and offering unlimited filtered drinking water.

Beach and underwater clean-ups form part of the programme, while PADI Eco Open Water and Advanced Open Water courses include Dive Against Debris certification. The approach stays close to the place itself: less single-use plastic at the resort, and direct work to protect the marine area around Karangasem.
