Action Divers

The centre operates with a focus on small group sizes, limiting boat trips to four or five divers. This approach allows for more personalised attention from the professional staff and a more relaxed atmosphere on the water.

With over 5,000 divers certified since its inception, the team uses proven training methods to help students master their skills. The centre is a PADI affiliated facility, offering everything from entry-level programmes to professional-level training.

The course catalogue is extensive, covering the full spectrum of PADI certifications. Beginners can start with Discover Scuba Diving or the Bubblemaker programme, progressing through Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver.

For those looking to refine their skills or move into professional diving, the centre offers numerous specialties. These include Peak Performance Buoyancy, Deep Diver, Wreck Diver, Drift Diver, and Underwater Navigation. The local waters are home to a diverse array of reef life. You will regularly encounter schools of Batfish (Platax), Surgeonfish (Acanthuridae), and various snappers. Large groups of rabbitfish and sergeant majors are common sights among the coral heads.

The reef structure itself is vibrant, featuring a mix of hard corals (Scleractinia), soft corals (Alcyonacea), and various gorgonians. You can find many species of sponges, including large sponges and barrel sponges, alongside intricate sea fans and whip corals.

For those interested in macro life, the area offers plenty to see. Look closely for Nudibranch (Chromodoris willani), various species of shrimp, and different types of pipefish. You may also encounter stargazers, frogfish, and various species of octopus.

Larger residents include Green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas) and various species of rays. In the deeper sections or during specific currents, you might spot more pelagic species or larger groupers.

Divers should be aware that significant drift dives are possible, particularly during spring and neap tides around the full and new moon. Some sites are specifically suited for these conditions, while others remain calmer.
