You can choose between structured reef safaris or more remote expeditions. Their programmes are designed to be immersive and educational, often incorporating naturalist-led insights to deepen your connection with the marine environment. The centre operates with a strong emphasis on small groups and high-quality guidance. For their safaris in the Philippines, they maintain a maximum ratio of six divers per guide, while specific experiences in Pemba Island are limited to two divers per guide.

Instruction and guidance are provided in English and Indonesian. The team is deeply integrated with conservation efforts, often involving guests in practical marine research through their 'Reef Support Crew' programmes. This allows you to participate in monitoring and reef health assessments alongside qualified professionals.

Training is conducted under the PADI framework, ranging from the initial Open Water Diver course through to Advanced Open Water Diver. The centre also offers specialised training such as the Coral Reef Safari Distinctive Specialty.

The reefs are defined by their incredible structural diversity, featuring vibrant hard coral gardens, spectacular gorgonians, and massive barrel sponges. You will find a constant movement of reef fish including butterflyfish, surgeonfish, parrotfish, and various species of wrasse.

For those interested in larger animals, the area is home to a variety of sharks such as grey reef sharks, white tip sharks, and hammerhead sharks. You can also encounter large pelagics like tuna, barracuda, and various species of jacks, as well as resident sea turtles.

Macro enthusiasts will find a wealth of life in the smaller habitats. The area is known for its diversity of nudibranchs, shrimp, crabs, and cuttlefish, alongside more elusive species like frogfish, pipefish, and pygmy seahorses. In specific locations like Anilao, you can find flamboyant cuttlefish, rhinopias, and various species of shrimp and crabs.

Seasonal highlights include sightings of thresher sharks during the morning hours in certain locations.

The Verde Island Passage is characterised by nutrient-rich currents that drive much of the local marine activity. While many sites offer calm, sheltered lagoon conditions, others like the Pinnacles and The Canyons are high-energy environments that require confident divers to manage the drift.

At Hibo Reef, surface currents can be strong, though conditions typically become more manageable once you are established along the wall. The movement of plankton in these waters is closely tied to visibility and the presence of pelagic species.
