Cap Camarat Plongée is situated in the heart of a 3-star holiday village in Ramatuelle, positioned just a short walk from the sands of Pampelonne. The centre operates within a calm environment of pine forests and vineyards, offering a peaceful base for divers looking to explore the Golfe de Saint-Tropez.

As an FFESSM-affiliated centre, the club provides structured training and guided explorations that cater to both local enthusiasts and visiting divers. Whether you are looking to complete your first certification or seeking out deeper, more challenging wreck sites, the centre is well-positioned to facilitate your dives.

The team consists of state-certified instructors who prioritise safety and individualised support. For those undertaking a discovery dive, the centre maintains a strict ratio of one instructor per participant to ensure a controlled and attentive experience.

Instruction is available in both French and English, making the centre accessible to international divers. The atmosphere is professional yet convivial, designed to make every diver feel welcome regardless of their experience level.

The centre offers a comprehensive range of FFESSM training programmes. Beginners can start with the PE 12 or Niveau 1 courses, while more advanced divers can progress through the PE 40, PA 20, and Niveau 2 certifications.

For those looking to specialise, Nitrox training is available to extend bottom times. The centre also provides technical diving courses and the traditional Plongeur de bronze, d'argent, and d'or certifications.

The centre operates a boat with a maximum capacity of 10 people, ensuring a small-group environment for every trip. Morning sessions run from 9:00 to 12:00, while afternoon sessions take place from 14:00 to 17:00.

On board, you can enjoy cold drinks and snacks during the boat ride. The vessel provides access to a variety of sites, from shallow wrecks just 5 minutes away to more remote locations like the Togo wreck, which requires a 25-minute transit.

Full equipment hire is available on-site for those not travelling with their own kit. This includes wetsuits, regulators, BCDs, computers, and masks and fins. For those who prefer to travel light, individual items such as masks, snorkels, and fins can also be rented.

Nitrox is available for use, allowing divers to optimise their nitrogen loading during dives. The centre is conveniently located within a village that offers various amenities, making the logistics of your stay straightforward.

The wrecks and rocky outcrops of the area are teeming with life. You will frequently encounter various species of Sea bream (Sparidae), including black-headed seabream, and large schools of Anthias. On the rocky structures, look for Moray eel (Muraenidae) and Conger eel (Congridae) tucked into crevices, alongside various species of Grouper (Epinephelus).

The larger pelagics include the Great barracuda (Sphyraena barracuda), which can often be spotted patrolling the area. You may also see large dentex or gilt-head bream moving through the water column.

For those interested in macro life and smaller inhabitants, the Mediterranean seabed here hosts a variety of invertebrates and crustaceans. Red gorgonians provide a vibrant backdrop on deeper wrecks, while the various reef structures offer shelter to many different species of Wrasse (Labridae) and other small vertebrates.

Diving in this region involves a variety of environments, from shallow, calm wreck sites like Le Tell to more engaged dives at the Togo. While many sites like L'Espingole are known for having little to no current, divers should always be prepared for the specific conditions of the deeper wrecks.

Navigation times vary from a short 5-minute hop to a 25-minute transit for the more remote sites in the Cavalaire bay.
