Aqura Dive

Located in Labuan Bajo, Aqura Dive provides a gateway to the world-renowned waters of the Komodo National Park. Established in 2017 on Seraya Kecil, the centre expanded to Labuan Bajo in 2019 to better serve divers looking to explore the archipelago's famous currents and high biodiversity.

The centre is built around the logistics of efficient diving, using a fleet of speedboats to reach the park's most significant sites quickly. Whether you are looking for the sheltered reef flats of Seraya or the high-energy drift dives of the main park, the operation is designed to handle the specific demands of this region.

As a PADI 5 Star dive centre, Aqura Dive maintains a high standard of training and safety. The team operates with a maximum ratio of four divers per guide, ensuring personalised attention during both recreational dives and professional course training.

The centre is multilingual, with instruction and communication available in English, German, and Italian. This makes it a reliable choice for international divers seeking structured training or guided explorations of the Komodo reefs.

Aqura Dive offers a comprehensive range of PADI courses, catering to every stage of a diver's development. Beginners can start with Discover Scuba Diving or the Open Water Diver course, while more experienced divers can progress through Advanced Open Water Diver, Deep Diver, and Rescue Diver.

For those looking to refine their skills or move into professional roles, the centre provides Peak Performance Buoyancy, Drift Diver, and Night Diver specialties. They also offer the full Divemaster programme. Enriched Air (Nitrox) training is available for those wishing to optimise their dive profiles.

The fleet consists of three 14.5-metre speedboats, powered by Yamaha 250–300HP engines to ensure rapid transit to the dive sites. These vessels are designed for comfort and efficiency, carrying a maximum of 12 passengers per trip.

On board, you will find dedicated diving facilities and a spacious cabin. The boats are equipped to handle full-day excursions, providing snacks, fresh fruit, water, coffee, and tea. Nitrox is also available on board for those requiring enriched air for longer bottom times.

The centre utilises high-quality Scubapro and Aqualung equipment for its rental fleet. For air quality, they use Bauer Pure Air compressors to ensure reliable and clean gas for every dive.

Nitrox is available on-site for divers looking to extend their no-decompression limits. The facility is also equipped with oxygen safety kits, a standard requirement for diving in the Komodo National Park.

The waters around Komodo are famous for large pelagics, with Manta Rays frequently passing through the channels. You can also encounter sea turtles throughout the park, often found navigating the reef structures.

The biodiversity of the reefs is immense, with a high concentration of marine life supported by the nutrient-rich currents. The area is also known for sightings of the Komodo dragon on land, though the underwater world is equally spectacular.

Macro life and reef residents add significant detail to the diving experience, with various species of fish and crustaceans inhabiting the coral formations and crevices of the walls.
