Nusa Dua Dive Centre

Nusa Dua Dive Centre has been a fixture of the Bali diving scene since February 1997. Located in the Nusa Dua region, the centre is positioned to serve divers staying in the many large hotels nearby, providing easy access to some of the most diverse marine environments in Indonesia.

As an active member of the PADI International Resort Association, the centre manages a wide variety of dive experiences. Whether you are looking for a relaxed reef dive on a local boat or a more technical excursion to a famous wreck, the operation is built on decades of local knowledge and established diving traditions.

The centre is locally owned and operated by Sukarta Made, an instructor with a diving history dating back to 1986. The team is comprised of Dive Masters and Instructors, many of whom have been with the company for over ten years, ensuring a high level of continuity and experience.

Instruction is conducted in English and Indonesian. The team maintains a strict ratio of a maximum of two divers per guide, which allows for personalised attention and a focus on safety during every excursion, from beginner introductory dives to advanced reef explorations.

The centre offers a comprehensive curriculum of PADI courses for all stages of your training. This includes the PADI Scuba Diver course and the PADI Open Water Referral, as well as the full Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver certifications.

For divers looking to progress their professional skills, the centre provides PADI Rescue Diver and Divemaster training. They also offer the Emergency First Response course to ensure you have the necessary safety skills to complement your diving.

Trips are conducted using local boats, which are well-suited for the various reef and wreck sites around Bali. For full-day excursions, lunch and drinks are provided on board.

The centre organises departures from several key points depending on your destination: 7:30 AM for Tulamben, 8:00 AM for Padang Bay and Gili Tepekong, and 9:00 AM for snorkeling trips at Nusa Dua Point.

A full range of dive kit is available for hire, allowing you to travel light. The centre maintains a premium air filling station to ensure your cylinders are ready for the day's dives.

For those looking to extend their diving into the evening, the centre also facilitates night dives at Nusa Dua Point and the Tulamben wreck.

The marine life in this region is incredibly diverse, ranging from small reef residents to large pelagics. You will regularly see sweetlips, unicornfish, barracuda, and various tropical fish species roaming the reefs. Turtles, stingrays, and reef sharks are also common sights across the various dive sites.

Macro enthusiasts will find plenty to observe, including frogfish, cuttlefish, nudibranchs, and pipefish. Garden eels are frequently found in the sandy areas, while anemonefish inhabit the coral gardens.

During the seasonal window from July to late September, the area becomes a hotspot for Mola Mola. This period also offers increased chances of seeing large pelagic fish and Manta Rays around the Nusa Islands.

Conditions can vary significantly depending on the site and the tide. While many local reefs offer calm and stable environments, Gili Tepekong Shark Point is known for having strong currents that require experience to navigate.

At Menjangan Island, you can expect very calm conditions, making it an excellent choice for relaxed reef and wall diving.
