Mantastic Scuba Paradise

Mantastic Scuba is situated in the central Raja Ampat Regency on Mansuar Island. It serves as a base for divers looking to access the immense marine biodiversity of this Indonesian archipelago, providing both day trips and on-site accommodation in three dedicated bungalows.

The centre is an SSI affiliated diving operation that emphasises environmental responsibility and respect for local island traditions. The management team integrates these values into their daily operations, supporting local conservation efforts within the Raja Ampat ecosystem.

As a community-focused centre, they cater to a range of divers, from those looking to take their first breaths underwater to experienced divers seeking the specific challenges of the region's currents. For those new to the water, the centre offers the Try Scuba programme and the SSI Open Water Diver course. These entry-level certifications provide the fundamental skills required to begin exploring the reefs.

As divers progress, the centre provides various SSI training options to suit different experience levels, allowing you to build your skills within the Raja Ampat environment.

The centre operates two custom-designed dive boats, built specifically to meet the needs of divers in these waters. These vessels are equipped with all necessary safety features for daily trips and night dives.

Each boat has a capacity for either 12 divers or 4 divers depending on the specific configuration used for the trip. On board, divers can find water, tea, coffee, and snacks to enjoy between dives.

The centre provides on-site accommodation via three bungalows for those wishing to stay directly at the lodge. For those opting for day trips, snorkeling gear is provided for guests.

Safety is a priority on shore, with oxygen availability on site for dive emergencies. The lodge is equipped with Starlink to ensure reliable internet connectivity, and electricity is available 24/7.

The waters around Mansuar are home to a vast array of marine life, including various species of sharks and turtles. You will regularly encounter diverse fish populations and vibrant coral formations across the reef flats and walls.

During the manta season, which runs from November to April or May, you have the opportunity to see manta rays in their natural habitat. The high biodiversity of the area ensures that the underwater scenery is constantly changing.

Macro enthusiasts can look for various smaller inhabitants among the corals and reef structures, though specific species depend on the time of year and the particular site being visited.

The centre is closed during the month of June. The high season for the region is generally considered to be from November to April or May.
