Located in the heart of Raja Ampat, Indonesia, Meridian Adventure Dive offers a professional gateway to one of the most biodiverse marine environments on the planet. The resort is positioned near Waisai, making it easily accessible for those arriving via the local ferry terminal.

As a PADI 5 Star centre and recipient of the PADI Green Star award, the operation is built on a foundation of environmental responsibility. From eliminating single-use plastics to supporting local communities, the centre integrates conservation into the daily diving experience.

The centre operates with a strong focus on sustainability and community-led tourism. By sourcing products locally from Waisai and promoting sustainable fishing practices, they ensure that the impact of diving remains positive for the region.

Instruction is provided through a comprehensive range of PADI courses, ranging from initial certifications to professional levels. The team is committed to high standards of safety and environmental stewardship, ensuring that every dive contributes to the long-term protection of the local ecosystem.

The centre offers a complete spectrum of PADI training. Beginners can start with the Open Water Diver course, while those looking to progress can undertake the Advanced Open Water Diver, Deep Diver, or Wreck Diver specialties.

For those pursuing a professional career, the centre provides Divemaster and IDC programmes. Specialist training is also available in areas such as Peak Performance Buoyancy, Enriched Air Diver, Drift Diver, Night Diver, and Underwater Navigator. Conservation-focused divers can enrol in the AWARE Shark Conservation Specialty, Coral Reef Conservation Specialty, or become a Project AWARE Specialist.

The centre utilises a fleet of custom-designed, eco-friendly speed boats to reach the various dive sites. These vessels are engineered to be respectful of the marine environment while providing efficient transit to the surrounding reefs.

Onboard, you will find water, snacks, fresh fruit, tea, and coffee to keep you hydrated and refreshed between dives. The guides also provide GoPro footage of your dives, allowing you to review your underwater encounters.

Full Aqualung kit is included in the diving packages, covering your mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit, BCD, regulator, cylinder, and weights. This ensures you have reliable, high-quality equipment without needing to transport your own heavy gear.

A specialised camera station is available on-site for the maintenance and cleaning of underwater camera equipment after each dive. The resort also offers comfortable accommodation with air conditioning, private bathrooms with 24-hour hot water, and reliable Wi-Fi throughout the property.

The waters surrounding the resort are a magnet for large pelagics and diverse reef life. You can expect to encounter Manta ray (Mobula alfredi), reef sharks, and various species of turtles. Large schools of snappers, fusiliers, and jacks move through the water column, alongside predatory species like trevally and tuna.

The reef architecture is built from a stunning array of hard coral (Scleractinia) and soft coral (Alcyonacea), providing a home for countless smaller inhabitants. You will see various species of butterflyfish, angelfish, and damselfish navigating the intricate structures of the reef.

For macro enthusiasts, the area is exceptional. Look closely for the Pygmy seahorse (Hippocampus bargibanti), Ornate ghost pipefish (Solenostomus paradoxus), and various nudibranchs. The seabed and coral heads are also home to diverse crustaceans, including shrimp (Caridea), crabs (Brachyura), and various species of mantis shrimp, as well as octopus (Octopus vulgaris) and cuttlefish (Sepiidae).

The centre offers night diving, allowing you to experience the reef's nocturnal transformations. The availability of speed boats allows for efficient travel to various sites, though divers should always be prepared for the local marine environment.
