Bali Diving

Bali Diving is one of the long-established PADI 5 Star dive centres in Sanur, positioned to provide access to some of Indonesia's most diverse underwater environments. Whether you are looking to complete your initial certification or are a seasoned diver seeking specific macro encounters, the centre operates with a focus on small groups. This approach ensures that every diver receives the necessary guidance and attention during their time on the water.

The centre is staffed by a team of 12 professional PADI instructors, all of whom are experienced in navigating the local waters. This allows for a high level of expertise when guiding divers through different environments, from the currents of Nusa Penida to the delicate reefs of Padang Bai.

Safety is a primary focus for the team, supported by on-site oxygen safety equipment. To further ensure peace of mind, the centre includes local dive insurance with every booking, reflecting their commitment to professional standards and diver welfare.

The centre offers a full suite of PADI training programmes designed to take you from your first breath underwater to professional levels. Beginners can start with the Open Water Diver course, while those looking to expand their skills can progress through the Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver certifications.

For divers aiming for a career in the industry, the centre provides Divemaster training. All courses are conducted by the professional instructor team, ensuring a structured and safe learning environment.

A full range of rental kit is available on-site for those not travelling with their own equipment. This includes regulators, BCDs, wetsuits, fins, and masks, all of which are meticulously maintained by the technical team.

For those planning night dives or exploring darker recesses of reefs, torches are available for hire. The centre also provides complimentary hotel pickup and drop-off services to simplify your logistics between Sanur and the dive sites.

The region is famous for its large pelagics and diverse reef fish. You can encounter Manta rays at Nusa Penida, and depending on your timing, Whale sharks (Rhincodon typus) may also be present. Schools of reef fish, including various Angelfish (Pomacanthidae), Butterflyfish (Chaetodon), and Jacks (Carangidae) move through the water column.

On the reef walls and structures, look for larger inhabitants such as Napoleon wrasse (Cheilinus undulatus), various species of Grouper (Epinephelus), and Reef sharks (Carcharhinus). You will also find sea turtles (Cheloniidae), stingrays (Batoidea), and various species of Moray eel (Muraenidae) tucked into the crevices.

For macro enthusiasts, the area is exceptional. The sandy patches and rubble fields host Pygmy seahorse (Hippocampus bargibanti), Nudibranch (Chromodoris willani), and various species of Ghost pipefish (Solenostomidae). Look closely for the Peacock mantis shrimp (Odontodactylus scyllarus), Boxfish (Ostraciidae), and different types of Octopus (Octopus vulgaris) or Blue-ringed octopus.

The seascape is defined by healthy coral growth, including various corals and Sea fan (Gorgoniidae), providing a complex habitat for smaller creatures like garden eels, shrimps (Caridea), and colorful commensal shrimps.
