Bali Legends Dive Center is situated in the coastal town of Sanur, serving as a gateway to some of the most diverse marine environments in the Coral Triangle. With ten years of operation, the centre has established itself through a commitment to safety and local knowledge, navigating the varied conditions found across the Balinese waters.

The region offers a vast spectrum of diving, from the calm, shallow reef flats and shore dives of Amed and Tulamben to the more demanding, high-current environments of Nusa Penida. This diversity allows you to progress from your first breaths underwater to advanced drift and wreck diving within the same local ecosystem.

As a PADI 5-Star dive centre, the team provides instruction following international standards while utilising deep local expertise. The instructors are multilingual and focus on a personalised approach to training and guiding.

The centre maintains a 100% safety record over its ten years of operation. Whether you are completing a Discover Scuba Diving programme or pursuing professional PADI Divemaster or Instructor Development Courses (IDC), the emphasis remains on structured, safe progression.

The course catalogue is extensive, covering the entire PADI spectrum. Beginners can start with Discover Scuba Diving or the Scuba Diver course, progressing through Open Water Diver (OWD) and Advanced Open Water Diver (AOWD) certifications.

For those looking to specialise, the centre offers PADI Deep Diver Specialty, PADI Wreck Diver, and PADI Nitrox courses. Technical and advanced skills are also addressed through Sidemount and Razor Sidemount training, including the Razor Course and Official Razor Instructor qualification. Professional divers can pursue the Divemaster and IDC pathways.

The centre provides full equipment hire for those not travelling with their own kit. For those diving with Nitrox, the centre offers 32% Nitrox, which is included for two dives for certified divers.

Logistics are simplified with hotel transfers included for guests staying in the Sanur, Kuta, Seminyak, Nusa Dua, and Jimbaran areas. On dive days, the centre provides lunch, hot and cold beverages, weights, and fresh towels to ensure you are prepared for the day ahead.

The marine life in this part of the Coral Triangle is incredibly diverse. You will regularly encounter large species such as Manta ray (Mobula alfredi), various sharks including reef shark (Carcharhinus), blacktip reef shark, and whitetip reef shark (Triaenodon obesus). Schools of Jack (Carangidae), tuna (Thunnus), and barracudas are common, alongside larger residents like humphead wrasse (Cheilinus undulatus) and Napoleon wrasse (Cheilinus undulatus).

The reef structures are built from vibrant corals and Sea fan (Gorgoniidae), providing a home for countless reef fish, angelfish (Pomacanthidae), and parrotfish (Calotomus). You may also spot sea turtles (Cheloniidae), stingrays (Batoidea), and various species of moray eel (Muraenidae).

For macro enthusiasts, the area is a treasure trove. Look closely for the Pygmy seahorse (Hippocampus bargibanti), various nudibranchs (Chromodoris willani), and different species of octopus (Octopus vulgaris). The sandy slopes and crevices also host frogfish (Antennarius), scorpionfish (Scorpaenidae), garden eels, and various types of shrimp (Caridea).

Diving conditions in Bali vary significantly depending on the specific site. Nusa Penida and Gili Tepekong are known for strong currents that require experience, whereas Tulamben and Amed generally offer mild to no current, making them ideal for shore diving.

Seasonal variations affect sightings, such as the appearance of mola mola between July and October. While diving is possible year-round, always account for the varying current strengths when planning your itinerary.
