Fixed life is abundant, with healthy corals, sea fans (Gorgoniidae), and sponges (Porifera) providing the habitat for schools of reef fish, including triggerfish, angelfish, and various species of damselfish (Pomacentridae).

Divers should be prepared for varying conditions depending on the site. The waters around Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan are known for having strong currents and surge, making these areas more suitable for those with advanced experience.

Water temperatures typically range between 22°C and 27°C. The best time to visit for specific pelagic sightings, such as the Mola Mola, is during the months of July through October.
