Oceanway

Oceanway is a specialised dive and watersports centre situated on the island of Gili Asahan in Kabupaten Lombok Barat, Indonesia. It provides a focused environment for divers looking to explore the diverse marine ecosystems found in the southern reaches of Lombok.

The centre operates with a strong commitment to the local environment, utilising solar power and maintaining a strict non-contact policy underwater. This dedication to sustainability extends to regular beach clean-ups and support for local habitat protection initiatives.

The centre is led by Jake, a professional with 20 years of diving experience, including 12 years as a professional and 6 years specifically working in this local region. This deep familiarity with the area's currents and reef structures ensures that excursions are well-planned and safe.

Instruction is kept highly personal, with a maximum ratio of two students per instructor. This small class size allows for tailored training programmes that cater to the specific needs and skill levels of every diver, whether they are completing their first certification or working on advanced specialties.

As an SDI affiliated centre, Oceanway offers a comprehensive range of training programmes. Beginners can start with Discover Scuba Diving or the Open Water Diver course, while more experienced divers can progress through Advanced Adventure Diver, Rescue Diver, and Deep Diver certifications.

For those looking to refine specific skills, the centre provides various specialty courses. These include Advanced Buoyancy Control, Underwater Navigation, Night/Limited Visibility Diver, and Drift Diver. They also offer Refresher courses for divers looking to brush up on their skills before heading back into the water.

Oceanway provides a complete range of rental equipment for those not travelling with their own kit. The centre maintains its equipment to high standards to ensure reliability and safety for every diver.

For those staying on-site, the marine-themed accommodation is located just 50 metres from the beach. The rooms are equipped with fans and offer private outdoor bathrooms with showers, providing a simple and functional base for your diving holidays.
