The centre provides a base for divers looking to explore both the local reefs and more distant sites like Manta Point in Nusa Penida. Whether you are looking for a relaxed reef flat dive or a more technical wreck penetration, the area offers a vast range of environments.

This is an SSI affiliated dive school run by a German team, providing instruction in both English and German. The centre maintains a family-oriented, relaxed atmosphere while ensuring professional standards across all training and guided dives.

The team focuses on small groups to ensure personalized attention and safety. Their expertise covers a wide spectrum of diving, from introductory sessions for beginners to professional Divemaster training for those looking to enter the industry.

Tiefenrausch Bali offers a comprehensive range of SSI courses catering to all experience levels. Beginners can start with Try Scuba or progress through the Open Water Diver and Advanced Adventurer certifications.

For experienced divers, the curriculum includes Enriched Air Nitrox, Deep Diving, Wreck Diving, and specialized modules such as Waves, Tides & Currents. The centre also provides professional training for those pursuing the Divemaster qualification, as well as React Right and Diver Stress and Rescue courses to enhance safety skills.

Local dives are typically conducted using traditional Balinese jukungs, which offer an authentic way to reach nearby sites. For longer excursions, such as trips to Manta Point, the centre organises transfers by car to Padang Bai followed by a speedboat crossing to Nusa Penida.

Full-day trips include water and snacks, with lunch provided on board. Nitrox is available for those requiring enriched air to extend their bottom times on multi-dive days.

The centre is fully equipped for rental, providing a complete range of kit for divers who do not wish to travel with their own equipment. They also maintain their own dedicated training equipment to ensure everything is well-maintained and ready for use.

On-site facilities include a comfortable base for divers to relax between sessions. For those staying longer, the centre can organise accommodation at The Sundara Amed, a modern facility located a short walk from the sea.

The reefs around Amed are teeming with life, from large pelagics to colourful reef inhabitants. You will regularly encounter schools of mackerel, fusiliers, and barracuda, alongside reef sharks and various species of turtles.

The hard and soft coral structures provide a home for many smaller creatures. Look for anemones and clownfish in the shallower sections, and keep an eye out for octopuses and various macro-organisms living within the reef crevices.

For macro enthusiasts, the area is a significant draw. You can find ghost pipefish and various nudibranchs tucked away in the reef, providing excellent opportunities for close-up photography.

Dive sites are accessible via short boat rides in traditional jukungs or via shore entries. Some sites, such as the USAT Liberty, are located very close to the coastline, making them easily accessible.

For more distant locations like Manta Point, the journey involves a vehicle transfer followed by a speedboat crossing. Divers should be prepared for varying conditions depending on the specific site and the type of vessel used.
