Scuba Tribe Bali dive-resort

Located in the village of Tulamben, Scuba Tribe Bali sits in one of Indonesia's most established diving regions. The centre is positioned just 50 metres from the USAT Liberty, a world-famous WWII wreck that serves as a cornerstone for local diving.

From this base, you can access over 100 dive sites throughout the Tulamben and Amed areas. Whether you are looking for shallow reef flats, dramatic walls, or deep wreck penetrations, the proximity to these sites allows for a highly flexible diving schedule.

The centre is run by an experienced team of four instructors, with a focus on personalised service. They operate with a 1:1 guide-to-diver ratio, ensuring that whether you are a solo traveller or part of a small group, you receive dedicated attention and guidance.

Affiliated with PADI, SSI, and CMAS, the team provides a wide range of training and exploration dives. They prioritise safety and professional standards, conducting certification checks before every dive and requiring dive insurance for all divers in accordance with local Indonesian law.

A comprehensive range of training is available through PADI, SSI, and CMAS. Beginners can start with Introduction to Diving or work through the Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver courses.

For more experienced divers, the centre offers 1* Diver (PTRD), 2* Diver, and Divemaster training. They also provide specialised instruction through Adventure Dives, Rescue Diver courses, and various Specialty certifications. DAN (Divers Alert Network) courses, including First Aid and Oxygen Provider training, are also available on-site.

For excursions to Manta Point and Crystal Bay around Nusa Penida, the centre uses private fast boats. These vessels have a capacity for 35 divers and are equipped with toilets, waterproof boxes, snacks, drinks, and music to make the full-day trips comfortable. Towels are also provided on board for the journey.

The centre offers full equipment hire for those not travelling with their own kit. For night dives, torches are available to explore the darker corners of the local wrecks and caves.

The resort facilities include a 5x15 metre saltwater swimming pool, which is ideal for practicing skills or warming up before heading out to the reef.

The local reefs are teeming with life, from large pelagics to smaller reef inhabitants. You can regularly encounter tuna, barracuda, angelfish, and various species of snapper and grouper. Turtles and stingrays are also common sights along the sandy sections and reef flats.

For those interested in macro photography, the area is excellent. You will find a wide array of nudibranchs, seahorses, pipefish, and pygmy seahorses, alongside scorpionfish, lionfish, and leaf scorpionfish.

The walls and wrecks are home to many specialised creatures, including batfish, pufferfish, and various species of wrasse. Look closely near the corals to find clownfish, anemonefish, and various species of nudibranchs.

Dive sites in the area vary significantly in terms of topography, from shallow reef flats to deep walls. Some sites, such as the Amed Pyramids, can be accessed from the shore at high tide or via boat for drift dives at low tide. The Kubu Boga Wreck is a deeper site, requiring experience for those wishing to explore its structure.
