Amed Dive Center

Amed Dive Center is an eco-responsible operation situated in Amed, Karangasem, in the eastern part of Bali. Set against the dramatic backdrop of Mount Agung, the centre provides a base for divers looking to explore the rich marine biodiversity of the region.

The team is composed of certified instructors providing training through both PADI and SSI affiliations. Safety is a primary focus, with all instructors holding Emergency First Response certifications to ensure professional care on and off the boat.

Communication is straightforward for international divers, as the team speaks English, French, German, and Spanish. For those starting their journey, the centre provides structured programmes for children, including the Bubble Maker course, which can be conducted in the hotel's swimming pool.

The centre provides a full range of training from entry-level certifications to advanced levels. You can complete your initial training through the Open Water Diver course or begin with a Discover Scuba Diving experience.

For those looking to progress their skills, the centre offers the Advanced Open Water Diver course and the Bubble Maker programme for younger divers. All courses follow the official PADI and SSI curriculum.

The shore-based facilities are built around reliable equipment maintenance, featuring a Bauer Mariner compressor for filling cylinders. Safety is reinforced by the availability of on-site oxygen kits.

A wide variety of rental kit is available for those not travelling with their own equipment, including wetsuits ranging from XXS to XXL, masks, snorkels, weight belts, torches, and compasses.

The reefs around Amed are home to a diverse array of larger marine life. You can regularly encounter reef sharks, sea turtles, groupers, and Napoleon wrasse patrolling the formations. Schools of barracuda and eagle rays are also part of the local ecosystem.
