Diving La Vida Loca

Diving La Vida Loca is a PADI Resort situated in Amed, Bali, positioned between the local rice fields and just 500 metres from Melasti Beach. The centre offers a calm base for exploring the diverse underwater topography of the Karangasem regency, from shallow reef flats to deeper wreck sites.

The resort operates in partnership with Pondok Tirta, a 3-star hotel located nearby that provides bungalows, a shared pool, and a restaurant. This setup allows you to transition easily from your accommodation to the dive centre, with motorbike rentals available for local exploration.

Larger pelagic visitors like sharks, including Blacktip reef shark (Carcharhinus melanopterus) and Whitetip reef shark (Triaenodon obesus), are part of the local ecosystem.

The hard coral (Scleractinia) and soft coral (Alcyonacea) structures provide the essential framework for this habitat, often accompanied by sea fans (Gorgoniidae) and various sponges (Porifera). These formations host a wide range of life, from sea turtles (Cheloniidae) to large groupers (Epinephelus) and Napoleon wrasse (Cheilinus undulatus).

You can find various Nudibranch (Chromodoris willani) species, Ornate ghost pipefish (Solenostomus paradoxus), and various types of ghost pipefish.
