Located in the Bunutan area of Amed, Liquid Blue Bali serves as a professional hub for divers exploring the diverse marine environments of Bali. The centre is well-regarded for its structured approach to daily diving, providing a seamless transition from the base to the water.

Days typically begin at 08:00, with two morning dives followed by a return to the base in the early afternoon. The centre is designed to handle the logistics of your trip, managing everything from hotel transfers to providing snacks, drinks, and lunch during the day.

The team is composed of experienced instructors who operate with a focus on safety and professional standards. They offer instruction in both German and English, making the centre accessible to a wide range of international divers.

To maintain a high standard of supervision, the centre operates with small groups, strictly limiting the number of divers to a maximum of three or four per guide. Liquid Blue Bali is a PADI affiliated school offering a comprehensive range of training from entry-level to advanced specialties. New divers can begin with Discover Scuba Diving or work through the Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver certifications.

For those looking to refine their skills or add new capabilities to their logbook, the centre offers several PADI specialty courses. These include the Nitrox Specialty, Deep Diver Specialty, Wreck Specialty, Night Specialty, Sidemount Specialty, and Scooter Specialty, as well as the Rescue Diver course.

The centre provides essential kit for your dives, specifically offering wetsuit hire for those who do not wish to bring their own. For more advanced training, the centre is equipped to support various PADI specialties.

The reefs around Amed are a kaleidoscope of life, featuring a healthy variety of hard corals (Scleractinia) and soft corals (Alcyonacea). You will encounter a diverse array of reef fish, including various species of angelfish (Pomacanthidae), butterflyfish (Chaetodon), and colourful reef fish swimming amongst the sponges (Porifera) and sea fans (Gorgoniidae).

For those with an eye for larger species, the area hosts sea turtles (Cheloniidae), including the Hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata) and green turtle. You may also encounter whitetip reef sharks (Triaenodon obesus), blacktip reef sharks (Carcharhinus melanopterus), and various other sharks or rays, such as the blue-spotted stingrays.

Macro enthusiasts will find much to explore in the smaller details of the reef. The area is home to a vast array of nudibranchs, seahorses (Hippocampus kuda), and various species of shrimp and crabs. Keep a close watch for ghost pipefish (Solenostomidae), frogfish (Antennarius), and the delicate Pygmy seahorse (Hippocampus bargibanti).

Other notable residents include the mimic octopus, various species of octopus (Octopus vulgaris), and garden eels (Gorgasia). You may also spot lionfish, moray eels (Muraenidae), and various species of pufferfish, alongside diverse crustaceans like the Peacock mantis shrimp (Odontodactylus scyllarus) and porcelain crabs.

The water temperatures in the Amed region typically range between 27°C and 29°C. The centre organises dives in a relaxed manner, with the morning sessions usually completed before the afternoon heat.
