Located in the coastal village of Amed, Seek & Dive offers a direct connection to the marine environments of North Bali. The centre operates primarily as a shore-based operation, providing access to the diverse underwater topography of the Amed, Tulamben, and Kubu regions.

This is a family-run establishment where local expertise meets professional PADI standards. Whether you are looking to explore the famous wrecks of the area or searching for macro life on the reef flats, the centre provides a structured and personal approach to every dive.

The centre is led by Kadek, a local PADI instructor with nearly two decades of experience, and Anna, a PADI instructor who has been teaching since 2015. The team is composed of local specialists, including dive guides, a technician for equipment, and logistics support, ensuring that the operation remains deeply integrated with the Amed community.

Small group sizes are a priority here, allowing for a more tailored experience during both recreational dives and professional training. The team's local knowledge is central to their guiding style, helping divers navigate the specific currents and topography of the North Bali coastline.

Seek & Dive offers a comprehensive range of PADI courses, starting from Discover Scuba Diving and the PADI Scuba Diver course through to Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver. For those looking to refine their skills, specific specialties are available, including PADI Enriched Air Nitrox, Deep Diver, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Drift Diver, and Night Diver.

Professional training is also a core part of the centre's offering, with PADI Divemaster internship programmes and the full Divemaster course. Safety and rescue training are prioritised through the Emergency First Response and PADI Rescue Diver courses.

The centre provides full equipment hire for divers, including regulators, BCDs, and wetsuits. For those requiring navigation assistance, dive computers are available for daily hire.

Nitrox is available for use, with 15-litre cylinders offered to extend bottom times. The facility is well-equipped to handle the needs of both novice students and experienced divers looking to explore deeper sites.

The reefs around Amed and Tulamben are characterised by healthy coral gardens, including hard corals (Scleractinia), soft corals (Alcyonacea), sea fans (Gorgoniidae), and various sponges (Porifera). These structures support a vast array of reef fish, such as butterflyfish (Chaetodon), angelfish (Pomacanthidae), and various species of snapper (Lutjanus).

You will frequently encounter larger marine life, including sea turtles (Cheloniidae), reef sharks (Carcharhinus), and various species of rays (Batoidea). Schools of jackfish (Carangidae) and barracuda (Sphyraena barracuda) are also common sights along the walls and reef edges.

For macro enthusiasts, the area is a significant draw. The sandy slopes and reef flats host a wealth of small creatures, including nudibranchs (Chromodoris willani), pygmy seahorses (Hippocampus bargibanti), and various species of shrimp (Caridea). You can also find ghost pipefish (Solenostomidae), frogfish (Antennarius), and the blue-ringed octopus (Octopus vulgaris) tucked into the crevices.

In the deeper waters and around Nusa Penida, the environment changes to support more pelagic species. This includes the chance to see Manta rays (Mobula alfredi) and, depending on the season, the Mola-mola.

Diving in Amed and Tulamben is generally characterised by calm conditions and minimal currents. However, divers should be aware that sites like Gili Selang and the waters around Nusa Penida can experience strong currents.

Conditions are highly dependent on the specific site chosen, with shore entries being the standard for most local dives. Divers should plan for varying environments, ranging from protected bays to open-water walls.
