The hotel faces Porquerolles and Port-Cros, while the famous Almanarre beach, the Giens Peninsula and the Port of Hyères all sit within the wider coastal area. This is not a hotel that asks you to commute to the water: the private beach is part of the property.

Hyères town centre is about 4 miles away, with shops, restaurants and the Château de Saint Bernard. For a change of scenery, Pesquiers beach is roughly 600 feet away, while Ceinturon beach is about 0.7 miles on foot. The nearest railway station, Hyères, is around 3 miles away, and Toulon–Hyeres Airport is about 1 km from the hotel.

The room choice is mainly about the view and how much space you want around the bed and luggage. Sea-view rooms suit a couple who wants the coast to remain part of the day, with balcony or terrace options available in some categories. Ground-floor rooms keep things straightforward, while the Hippodrome rooms trade the sea outlook for a view inland and include options for solo travellers, couples and groups of up to five.

Air conditioning matters here, particularly when the day has involved warm water, salt and a full load of sun. Soundproof rooms are available, and the accommodation is described as functional, comfortable and peaceful rather than dressed up as something it is not. There is one named restaurant-and-bar venue rather than a collection of separate dining rooms. It serves cocktails, including signature creations, and opens from 08:00 to 21:00 from Monday to Sunday. Breakfast is a buffet, giving you a proper start before heading out, while the beach bar covers the more relaxed end of the day. Room service is also available when the sensible decision is to eat indoors and stop moving.

The private beach is the obvious place to spend a non-diving afternoon, with sun umbrellas, a sun terrace and outdoor furniture close at hand. You can also book a massage on site, which is the sort of activity that requires no explanation after a week of carrying equipment. There is no need to manufacture a timetable: beach, shade and a drink may be quite enough.

If you want to move, hiking is available in the surrounding area, while bike tours and walking tours can be arranged. Horse riding, canoeing, windsurfing and snorkelling take place away from the property, and diving is also an off-site activity rather than something operated from the hotel itself. On selected evenings, the hotel adds live music: beach aperitifs on Thursdays, plus fireworks dinners with guitar, voice or piano on 14 July and 15 August.

Toulon–Hyeres Airport is about 1 km away, making the arrival transfer short. The Hyères railway station is around 3 miles away, and the hotel is about 4 miles from the town, so a car or local transfer will make shopping, town visits and wider exploring easier. Free WiFi is available in the public areas, and luggage storage is available if your arrival and departure do not line up neatly with the room.
