This shallower profile allows for extended bottom times, giving you ample opportunity to explore the various nooks and crannies that define the site.

The topography is less about grand vistas and more about intimate discovery. You'll navigate over and around rock formations, where light penetrates easily, illuminating the colours of the gorgonians and sponges. This isn't a dive where you're constantly checking your depth; instead, your focus shifts to the micro-environments within the reef, observing how life adapts to the available cover and water movement.

Expect to encounter moray eels (Muraena helena) peering from their rocky hideouts. Their presence is a defining feature of Murene Reef, often found tucked into crevices throughout the site.
